Belowis my code in a fucntion in a JSP

sb1.append("& ltTEXTAREA class =\"inputTextClass\" name=\"description\" );
sb1.append("\" rows=4 cols=40>& lt/TEXTAREA>");

b1.append("& ltdiv>& ltbr>& ltbr>");
sb1.append("& ltdir=\"ltr\" id=\"blqtContactUS\">");
sb1.append("& ltlabel>");
sb1.append("User ID (email alias):");
sb1.append("& lt/label>");
sb1.append("& ltspan>& ltinput id=\"txtUserId\" name=\"UserId\" size=\"5\" maxlength=\"4\" tabindex=\"6\" nkeypress=\"fn_CheckFeedbackButton()\" nfocus=\"fn_FeedbackButtonState()\" nblur=\"fn_FeedbackButtonState()\" nchange=\"fn_FeedbackButtonState()\">& lt/input>& lt/span>\n");
strBuffer.append("& lttextarea>" +sb1.toString() + "& lt/textarea>");

i.e when i try to display all the code in the text area it only displaying up <EXTAREA class =\"inputTextClass\" name=\"description\" );
sb1.append("\" rows=4 cols=40> and trucating the remaining.

Is there new tags assciated with TextArea or I am missing something...

sorry I was not sure where to post such question.

Any help is appreciated.

Why are you building up HTML markup inside Java code inside a JSP? Just use template text and simplify things considerably.
