Hello,

I am trying to use SkipPageException() but it will not compile.
The compiler says:

SkipPageException cannot be resolved to a type

Can anyone please help me out?

Thanks in advance.

Senyo Affram.

Please post your code (using the code tags) and the error message...

From where are you trying to call this exception? Not from within a JSP I hope.

Have you imported the class?

this is part of my code

public void doTag() throws JspException, IOException{

getJspContext().getOut().print("Message from doTag()");
getJspContext().getOut().print("About to throw a SkipPage Exception");

if(true){
throw new SkipPageException();
}
}

is there any class to import?

Thanks.

Senyo.

Every SimpleTag that I have imports the class

If it is missing, then add the import. This is why I wanted to see the compile error message...

This is basic Java. Tags are just Java classes like any other and you must import any classes that you plan to reference.
