What is the value of 'footer'? And have you tried without the spaces around it?

The spaces are irrelevant. Please avoid throwing red herrings into the mix.

First, are you sure that the include tag is the problem?
Have you tried taking it out to see if the exception is still being thrown?

If it is the problem, are you trying to forward or redirect from within the included page?

I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
