JSTL - abolute uri cannot be resolved

Id like to know why i get this wen i compile:
"This absolute uri http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core_rt cannot be resolved in either web.xml or the jar files deployed with this application"

My JSTL is 1.0, J2EE is 1.3

My web.xml
<!DOCTYPE web-app PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Web Application 2.3//EN" "http://java.sun.com/dtd/web-app_2_3.dtd">
<web-app id="WebApp">
<taglib>
<taglib-uri>http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core_rt</taglib-uri>
<taglib-location>/WEB-INF/lib/jstl.jar</taglib-location>
</taglib>
...</web-app>

My JSP has the directive:
<%@ taglib uri= "http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core_rt" prefix="c" %>

standard.jar and jstl.jar are in /WEB-INF/lib and i have no TLDs inside WEb-INF
I tried using core instead of core_rt but it still doesnt work

Wat am i doing wrong? Do i need to add entries in web.xml and my jsp for standard.jar?

Check your URI. It's incorrect.

Like i said, i used "http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core" also but dint work.
I saw sumwhere tat for JSTL1.0 one must use core_rt...

You're not going to find out what's wrong just by looking at it. A google search for "jstl 1.0 uri" listed hundreds of places where the correct URIs are shown.
