How to use Applets in JSP?

i am doing my academic project now(final year project). i want to know wherther i can use Applets in jsp. If yes, what is the procedure?
Can anyone guide me?

That depends on what you mean by "use Applets in jsp". Applets are not part of JSPs, but they can be part of the HTML page that's generated by a JSP. If that's what you mean, simply generate an applet tag and it should work fine. See this for more details about the tag.

Also look at the jsp:plugin action.
This action will generate the necessary client side tags for you.
