Hi folks,
I've came a cross with a following situation. I'm writing my own tag hangler and would like in doStartTag() include a
jsp
file, i.e.
<H1>${pageScope.username}</H1>
in doStartTag() i'm writing:
pageContext.setAttribute("username", "User", PageContex.PAGE_SCOPE)
Why it is not working?
I thougt, that it will the same translation
unit
, so it must see the attribute...
Only when I'm dealing with REQUEST_SCOPE it works.
Can you help? Thanks in advance

Page scope is just that.
Page scopped variables can only be seen inside the page.
