Anybody can provide input on how to use jdbc to connect to flat file database? Is jdbc1.0 able to do this? Any comments would be appreciated.

There are two ways:
1) if the flat-file database has a JDBC driver then use that
2) if not and the flat-file database is ODBC compliant then use the ODBC-JDBC bridge
Otherwise, forget it.

I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
