Tell me one suitable database for java that should be platform independent.

Please helps us one Database for our Java Development and this must be like MS Access Database in deployment (free licence) and that must support all platforms ( Since JDatastore from Borland is asking deployment licence, we are looking alternate)

InstantDB and HypersonicSQL are both open source pure Java SQL databases, and therefor platform independent and free to deploy.
Popular non-Java open source databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL etc. are not quite as multi-platform, but do work on a wide range of systems, and are also free to deploy.
Any decent search engine should be able to find these for you.
