I am working on a website where data is posted from 12 branch offices and viewed from head office in form of generated html reports on daily bases. The data has to remain on server for one month after which, it is to be downloaded at headquarters and the database at HQ has to be updated with this downloaded data. I want to know how this downloading and updation of database can be done. The database being used is Oracle.

hello there well ur problemisnot so big but here is the answer:
First take the data into a servlet(in resultset).
prepare a table in html and show the data from servlet. thats it. For Transfering the Database first u have to store all that in a servlet. Then according to the data in the resultset transfer it into a hash table. Again update or create a same database on the server side.(It is important to convert it into an hashtable or enumeration etc.)
<To run the program timely or weekly automatic>.
Check system date ofthe server to run this servlet. it can be possible through win nt. It may be there in the office. orin the server.if it is not in the server side then it will be linux server. it is same with unix.(through shell programming).
All the best.
