Hi Friends,
I am new with this. Please can some one guide me from scratch, how to install, connect with Database, using ODBC, creating DNS, Using JDBC etc. Any site with detail instruction would be appreciated.

DNS = Domain Name Server
DSN = Data Source Name
You create a DSN for use with ODBC ( Open Database Connectivity ). You will only have to do this if you are using a bridge driver, like Sun's reference implementation. I recommend that you go get the JDBC driver for you specific database. For how to use it, get the URL and connect string from your driver's documentation. For examples of connection code and how to use JDBC in general, look here.

Thanks for your prompt reply. How would I see my database name. My Dataengine is Oracle 8.05.
