Ordinarily it would be helpful if you provided some clue what thread you were talking about. As it happens though, I remember this incident - it was in this thread, right? Venkatesh, your post was deleted for reeasons very similar to those discussed here. Here's a free clue: saying "if its a female then you can do this" was not funny. Adding did not make it funny. Sunil and Chetan, your replies were deleted too because they directly referenced Venkatesh's post, and with that post deleted, your replies made no longer made sense.

Look, things sometimes get deleted from MD. We're not always going to take the time to explain exactly why. You might consider that if the post seems disrespectful to half the human race, just maybe that was the reason why it was deleted. This seems to be a recurring problem lately, and we're getting a bit tired of it.

If you guys could stop annoying Jim, I would appreciate it.

I guess that's the sticky bit: if you're going to say something that violates the "be nice" rule, it probably needs to be super funny, or super witty, or super charming, or super-something-good, or it will get deleted.

And if the staff spends too much time deleting your stuff, you could get into a peck of trouble.
