Go to SourceForge search and look for 'struts'. You will find lots of interesting projects. Better yet, think up one based on something that you find interesting, photography, painting, stamps, hockey, cricket, scifi, or whatever and start your own project. Download Tomcat, Struts, Velocity, and Hibernate and build it all at home. You'll need a database, Oracle is free for non-commercial use and there are open source alternatives such as MySQL.
