Is there a one-to-one direct relation between the primary key of a table in the database and the primary key class in the Enterprise Java Bean?
Or, if I re-phrase my question -- How do the primay key of a table in the database differ from the primary key class in the EJB?

There isn't much difference. If you look closely at the EJB Primary Key Class it should be of the same datatype as your Primary Key in your Database. I suggest you got to www.ibm.com find the developer's section. And look up Visual Age for Java EJBs...

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
