Hai When we use oracle...the default type 4 driver is thin driver But now i am using sql server 2000. pl tell me what is the default type-4 driver for ms sql server 2000 Thankyou Verymuch, Yours Raj
Oracle is very nice to java programmers and supplies you with 2 very flexible, fully implemented type 4 drivers(thin and OCI). Thanx a bunch Oracle! For some reason Microsoft doesn't support java access to their database(loads of sarcasm...) and they feel that you will either have to deal with the jdbc-odbc bridge or go out and buy one on your own. Some have suggested that they have found free drivers put out by some very nice people who don't want your money... www.freetds.org and also http://www.objectweb.org/RmiJdbc/RmiJdbcHomePage.htm (self proclaimed type4-like). Good Luck, Jamie
I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to
run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
