Not enough storage error

I am getting "java.sql.SQLException: [IBM][CLI Driver][DB2/6000] SQL0954C Not enough storage is available in the application heap to process the statement. SQLSTATE=57011" error during update process. This happens after about 700 records are updated. I am using JAVA code and PreparedStatements. The JDBC version is 2.0 and database is UDB on a SP platform.
Please help me.

I had a similar trouble with PreparedStatement. So, i'm just guessing that your error corresponds to 'maximum cursors open' in oracle. I had a loop for inserting the data in a table and I was creating the preparedStatement everytime instead of just setting the parameters.
hope this helps!
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
