Hi,
Is it better to create and close a new statement object for each ResultSet? Or is it more efficient to use the same statement object for many queries and then close it when they're all done. (Using ms sql and odbc driver).

Most efficient is to use a PreparedStatement. You'd have to create a new one for every query, but the database will be able to cache them.
