Hi,
I'm looking for a way (or tool) to separate the logic for the reading and saving data to and from the database from the logic of the class defining what actually has to be done with the data. JDBC is a great tool indeed, but if the class containing the "business" logic reads in the data from the db, the code is getting hard to read. Since the reading and saving data seems to be quite repetitive I thougt there might be a way to have a wrapper for each table, reading in one line of that table either in a sequence or based on a search pattern for a field.
So befor I start to do this myself, I thought I ask if someone has already written something like this or knows a tool for that purpose.
Cheers
Markus

If the queries you are making are fairly standard, you might want to try JDO. If you get it working you can come back and write a review for us!
Dave.
