pooling session beans in jonas

Im using the Jonas server and am concerned about the time it takes to create one of my session beans. I would like to be able to have the container hold a pool of session beans and grab one of them when create is called rather than having to build the new bean at the time of the call. Does anyone know whether jonas supports this function ... and how i can tell it to do so ... or does anyone have any other ideas for how i can reduce the creation time for my bean (i thought about starting a thread in create, but that seems like a bad idea inside an ejb container).
Thanks for any advice,
Carl Desborough.
