hi, I am trying to access the oracle database installed on linux platform using jdbc call. And I am not able to access. The same database I am able to access through the UI tool such has TOAD and also through sqlPlus. I checked the url supplied to DriverManager.getConnection() method by accessing for database installed on windows, which is working well. url supplied is jdbcracle:thin:@IP:1521atabase name I even tried replacing the database name with SID but did not work. So what would be error? If you want more details of the problem, please let me know what type of detail you require to shout out my problem Thanx Regards arun
given the url jdbcracle:thin:@IP:1521B 1. Can you ping the specified IP from the linux machine? 2. tyr using a different port, sometimes the listener is installed on 1525 3. the DB when using thin must be the database SID. I fyou use OCI, then use the TNS alias you set up on the Linux machine Hope that works
I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
