Hi ,
I created a connection pool in weblogic 6.0 using the
following parameters:
url ---
jdbc: oracle:thin:@oraclemachineip:1521:service
Oracle driver class name --- oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
properties ---
user=scott
password=tiger
dll=ocijdbc8
server=none
protocol=thin
When i try to create a connection pool
it gives me the error pasted below.
Can somebody tell what me what is wrong here?
Thanks for the help in advance.
Regards,
Rajesh.

i dont know if it's a typo in your posting, but you need a ':' between 1521 and orcl (should be machineip:1521 rcl

Yes I have included the :
URL=
jdbc: oracle:thin:@163.122.10.12:1521:<service>
Driver = oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
Is the service name case sensitive ... i am
working on Solaris...
I am still getting the same error
oracle.net.TNSAddress : SO Exception
Regards,
Rajesh.

I believe the SID is case sensitive

Are u able to connect to database first. Check it out first.
Secondly try to use TNSPING <TNSNAME> to resolve whether u are able to connect to database using TNS NAME from the OS(SOlaris) command prompt.
