Depends on your performance in interview, current company you are working and your current salary

Accenture just offered me 2.5L for 2 years of J2EE experience. I am getting 2.1L in present co. but that's pretty ok for me since I was staying with my family. But they expected me to relocate to Banglore for 40K extra. I am not sure if Infy would me much different.

Hi

I am working with a salary of 2.55 lakhs (around 2 years of experience) and can I expect 4 lakhs from Infosys, if I perform well in the interview.

Thanks

Nishant, this is surprising. I think its pretty high a figure. On the same lines, how much do you think a 5 year exp person shud get ? I m feeling guitly for having worked for so less these 5 years.

I heard its pretty difficult to bargain for pay, especially in Infy. They have fixed pay for job bands.

If you are 2 yrs experienced expect something like 3.5.This is the piece of info I got from my friend.

Thanks

Exatly. When I was paid 3.5L for 3 years exp, I was quite happy at that time. When it became 5L after first review in that company I couldn't believe my luck for days/months!!! Now I also sometimes wonder why I worked for so less for so many years.

For 2 years anything above 3L is good. The imbalance or polarization that high paying companies are creating i going to cause some serious ill effects. Wonder why those jokers in HR do not realize it!

Trust me, the anoyance/anger it has caused outside software industry is scary!!!

Go for a company where you can get good projects and increase your knowledge base. The only thing that matters in this industry is your knowldge.Money you can always make.In your early years(<5) even if you give or take 1-2 lacs in your salary,it should not make a difference.
And yes, this thing about onsite......that too should be chosen only if the project is good and does value addition to your profile.
"Do Not" just look at money.
Did I hear someone mention products over services.

Depends on your negotiation and bargaining skills.
