Hi..
Can anybody give me the link for installing jdbc for oracle8 i follow the instruction given in jdbc\readme.txt but the sample example jdbccheckup and employee throwing the exception "UnsatisfiedLink" so any one can give me the like for how to install the driver how to give tsnnames or servidename to databse etc.

First you are probably using classes12.zip? If so just rename it to classes12.jar and make sure the jar file is in your class path.
Second the tnsnames stuff.
If you are using the OCI driver use:

For the thin driver use

Hope that helps.
It really is that easy. The most important thing to do is get that jar in the classpath. Then make sure you are using what is the SID, or what is the actual tnsnames entry.

The only time I've heard of the "UnsatisfiedLink" exception being thrown is when you try to use the OCI driver but the Oracle client hasn't been correctyl installed.

I have a bunch of useful Oracle links posted here. You might specifically be interested in Enabling the Java Client. The "UnsatisfiedLinkError" is explained in the jdbc FAQ's.
