CachedRowSet problem

I am getting following exception while using CachedRowSet
sun.jdbc.rowset.CachedRowSet is an abstract class. It can't be instantiated.
ccls_CachedRowSet = new CachedRowSet();
The program works fine most of the time and suddenly gives this error. Same problem when using it with Resin. But in this case the problem occurs more often. Any solutions???

I had this problem six months ago - it mostly solved itself somehow while I was desperately trying to fix it and I wasn't able to tell exactly why.
I set up a new Java development workstation and the error started. On my old machine it was still OK.
Somebody said it might be an old version of CachedRowSet in one of my JARs somewhere. Are you running J2EE as well? Try de-installing that.
Also, try putting rowset.jar in the first directory quoted in your classpath.
I'd be interested to know if that helps.

I have seen things you people would not believe, attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion, c-beams sparkling in the dark near the Tennhauser Gate. All these moments will be lost in time, like tears in the rain.
