ExceptionInInitializerError

Hi !
From a browser (IE) I am trying to get a Tomcat servlet to access another servlet which asks for an available database connection from a pool of such physical connections.
Although they run well at command line level (java TestEmpDS ) and I can see the pool being created and the result set coming back, I haven't been able to do so via the browser, which throws this error when asking for a connection :
java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError
at com.developer.DataSource.pooling.OraDSPool.SetUpOraPool(OraDSPool.java:41)
...
etc
Can anyone give me a hint and point me in the right direction please ?
