Hi again.
At the moment I am a bit puzzled.
I can store to a BLOB and extract the content to a "file", but I cannot sem to find any doco on displaying the BLOB.
As I understand it, a BLOB can store most docFlavor eg. .jpg, .gif, .doc, .pdf etc
When I retrieve and display them, I have following questions :
(1) how exactly do we display e.g. an MS Excel or WinWord document - surely JAVA/ORacle must somehow recognise the docFlavour and invoke WinWord or Excel ??? Same goes for e.g. .pdf or .mpeg or .gif etc.
(2) I understand now I cannot simply stick everything into a "JFRAME", but are there any examples out there that I can have a look at for e.g. .jpg and .gif . That is assuming they can be displayed on a JFrame.
Any comment and hint would be most welcome...
