Welcome to our new bartenders...

We are pleased to announce a small group of people who have been invited, and have agreed, to become our newest JavaRanch Bartenders! Without any further delay, they are:

Paul Clapham
Merrill Higginson
Peer Reynders
Scott Selikoff
Henry Wong

These folks have all been very helpful and knowledgeable as ranch hands for some time, so we thought it would be good for JavaRanch to give them some added recognition and powers. Very shortly you will see their names appear associated with the forums they are taking over (while many existing bartenders are also moving around to different forums). Big thanks to each of them for accepting - I'm happy to be working with them. Welcome!

Best regards, Andrew

Congratulations to the new bartenders.

Makes me wonder why none of the names sound Indian. May be they are not that helpful but sure participate a lot.

Thanks for congratulating the new bartenders, but please don't change the topic.

Members are invited to become bartenders based on their helpfulness and demonstration of knowledge (and willingness to share that knowledge). We dont invite people to become bartenders based on post count, or country of origin, or current location in the world. As it happens, we have bartenders from all over the globe, including some in India, and some who came from Asia. For example:
  • Ajith Kallambella (Sheriff)
  • Madhav Lakkapragada
  • Balaji Loganathan
  • Rahul Mahindrakar
  • Shailesh Sonavadekar (retired)
  • Deeksha Gunwant (retired)
  • Desai Sandeep (retired)
  • Hmmm, come to think of it, Australia seems to be under-represented. Although we do have 2 sheriffs

    Regards, Andrew
