LONG IN ORACLE

How do i retrieve fields defined as LONG in ORACLE? I try with getString but it doesn't work, the same with getClob and getBlob.

Setting aside error handling, creating the statement, reading the stream, etc.:

int resultColumn=1; // change as appropriate
OracleResultSet rows=(OracleResultSet)statement.executeQuery();
if (rows.next()) {
  longStream=rows.getAsciiStream(resultColumn);
}
