Hi, I was working with the instant DB , and was in need of a query which will sort a field of a table in ascending order.the field type is character, but contains numeric values(1,2,3etc).so said like select * from table_name order by to_number(field_name) , it raises an error that to_number is applicable to date fields.can this problem be solved , if so how. Also i would like to know whether the same can be done in Mysql.
