hello friends,
i am new to this group.i am in serious need of help from friends of this forum.i have completed my Engineering in the year 2004 with 67%.i had a liking of OOPS and i studied java,i cleared my SCJP,SCWCD with 88% and 84% respectively.the pitiable fact is i have not got a single call from any company till now.everyone feels that my resume is good.i am not demanding a job which wud fetch 20k.i am ready to work for even 2 or 3 thousand rupees without service bonds.i have started to feel that initially it enough for me to earn for my survival atleast.i live in bangalore in india.i see a lot of people from india in this group.friends, please help me as how i should streamline my job search to get into a company.
do certifications really have any value in the market?i ask this becoz even after completing a couple fof certifications i havent got any calls so far.

srikrishnan, if you are having CS, Electornics education bacground it should not be a big problem for you to get job. Otherwise its some what difficult to get job. Still you get job you can try faculty jobs. Experience is more important then your certificates.
