any free type 4 driver ?

hi all,
Could anyone tell me a url of a free type4 driver..Im using Jdbc-Odbc driver for my web applcation with MS-Access as backend..My application goes slow if I fetch about 100 records from the database, the problem i found is that the memory is getting locked..I have closed Connection, ResultSet and PreparedStatement etc etc, but all in vain..I beleive a good driver may be a solution to this.. Could anyone help me ??
