daRk side of CachedRowSet

Hello All,
I've been to many boards which address questions regarding CachedRowSet, yet I've found descriptions to be sparse and incomplete. Is there anyone here who has experience with this class, and if so, can you please expound on the following issues:
1.) why is this not part of the current j2sdk?
2.) is this compatible with all versions of j2sdk? jdbc?
3.) I'm having a specific problem with CachedRowSet -- it works fine on my machine, however, on another machine I will get errors (usually ClassCastExceptions). These are runtime errors so the rowset.jar library is being found properly, it's just not executing correctly. I'm trying to localize the problem but I've had little luck. Could it be a version issue? A configuration issue?
Any info is greatly appreciated, thanks,

for (int i = today; i < endOfTime; i++) { code(); }

Hi All,
We've solved the problem, so I'll just go ahead and post comments here in the event anyone comes across this.
My teammates were using the ojdbc14.jar as their Oracle database driver, while I was using the driver found in classes12.jar. Apparently, the ojdbc14.jar does not implement RowSets. Hahha, so good luck if you plan on using CachedRowSet -- it's a beautiful thing, as look as you get it to play nicely.
