today i attended for an interview

he asked how will you make a servlet as notthread safe , i said by default it is not thread safe ,if you want to make it as thead safe you have to implement SingleThreadModel,he said wrong and he said that if you implement a SingleThreadModel that servlet will become nonthread safe.
what is the exact mechanism
