Hi, It depends on the level of knowledge too.. JDBC(TM) API Tutorial and Reference: Universal Data Access for the Java(TM) 2 Platform (2nd Edition) This is a good book for a beginner. Deals all APIs with examples. Check the latest edition. Additionally I would suggest this book too... ( I haven't gone thru thoroughtly.Check it out in Amazon.com) JDBC: Practical Guide for Java Programmers One more suggestion I have use the resources in the net extensively. Here we get a lot of latest news, programs and drivers etc.

My personal favorite book on JDBC has been The "JDBS API Tutorial and Reference", 2nd Ed. by White, et al. I found this the more useful for both learning and as a regular reference. I have compared it to other sources.

Welll, given that the third edition has now come out, that's what I'd recommend. They gave it a good polish and scrub and covered JDBC 3.0. I must, however, confess that I have a personal interest in this book and am by no means unbiased. Don't let that deter you though - Peter

I also have ever used the second edition and that was really fantastic... I guess the third edition would be better than the second edition...
