You are right Alwin! This is a specialized area and you need special skills or rather acquire special skills to get into identity management. I am really surprised and pleased to see someone interested in this area. Because I am working in this domain for more than 1 yr now Its interesting but takes time to understand important terminologies, market players, trends, design patterns, solutions, common problems area, and standards into identity management. After 1 yr. I feel I understand only 30-40% of it rather lesser than that, cause I am working with just Identity product, Sun Access Manager. And have basic understanding of Oracle Identity Management.
The big market players in this domain are Netegrity and Oblix even IBM Tivoli Access Manager, Have not worked on them though
Anyways, do you have any initial exp. in this domain? Or you are just interested to venture into it? If you have any exp. and interested in doing some interesting work, , can you fwd ur resume? if there r any openings, we can consider you.
