If you really want to know your 'price', have an extra offer in hand and resign.and see the response of your manager. If (s)he agree on your demand, thats the highest price they can pay.

Mostly your manager will ask what he/company can do for you to work more better or retain you. Then you express you concerns about the work, tell him that you are not getting salary as per industry standards. But never never compare your salary with some one inside the commpany. About achievements mostly your manager will ask what you did for past 6 months, how you feel about company, how is your experience etc., Use those kind of questions to market your achievements.

Good Luck

It is better to just write down all achievements, on paper.
write down future goals.

And go through them with your manager.

By the end of your conversation if your manager doesn't bring up the question of salary, ask yourself. You could use something like:"Are we going to discuss my salary or there will be another review for that and when?"

In woorst case, If your manager really is a moron (sorry), he/she will ask something like: "What about your salary?". Ask back when is your next scheduled raise and how it will be determined the amount.
Basically don't demand, try to ask questions instead..

if you were hired only 6 months back, HR guys determined your salary very recently and also they wud have put down a comment like:

'increase salary by xx% after confirmation if performance is excellent/good/avg/poor....` and that wud be the hike...

while its right to say "weeping child will get the milk" but do remember that no manager likes crying babies in the team.

do also try to figure out from your colleagues what is general % hike in confirmation appraisal...and check if your expectations are more than that before getting into discussion...dont say open ended statement like - as much as possible. Determine ur expectation and say that clearly. Rest is there in KJ Reddy mail anyway.

don't want to demoralise, but just would like to advice being realistic while discussing about it.
