Switch gateway servers for connection

I am using Tomcat connection Pooling to get the database connection.
Before we used to use Single gateway servers to get the DB2 Connection.
About few days back they changed to 3 gateway servers from 1 for back up purpose.

Right now my code handles to get the connection from one gateway server through
Connection Pooling.
Can you please advise or show me a code sample how to switch between gateway
servers to get the connection in case of connection problem in one of the servers

Thanks in advance
Maria

Hint, hint: you can edit your post and fix the spelling.
