Hi All,

I have Windows 2000 Professional as OS.
I plan to make a small J2EE application.
Tomcat5.0 has worked on this OS.

My question is :

What are the free databases available that can support this OS?
Will weblogic and Websphere support this OS?

Regards,
Srinivas

I've heard the Postgresql and Firebird databases spoken very highly of, though I've little personal experience with them. I'm sure there are versions of Weblogic and Websphere for the Win32 platform. Can you imagine IBM or BEA missing out on such a huge share of the market?! A quick search of their respective websites (e.g. download section) will allow you to confirm this.

Thanks.

I tried mckoi and was able to install easily. I need to try JDBC with it. MySQL, I tried earlier but gave me some errors while trying JDBC calls.
