Hi,

I work in US I would like to know few things about these companies. Does these companies have US base also ? I mean if somebody living in US joins these companies will they get Indian salary + US Allowance or they will get US salary ?

Thanks

Depends on the companies policies. One of my friend works in TCS , he got US allowance plus off shore salary but then policy changed now he is getting only US salary.

TCS has offices all across the US. Recently they stopped giving the Indian Salary for those who were recruited in India and sent to work in the US. If you are recruited from the US I don't think you can expect an Indian Salary, since your offer letter will not have a salary in Rs.

It all depends on the employment terms - if they are taking you as an employee based out of USA, there won't be any Indian salary component. But, if they take you as "based-out-of-India-deputed-at-USA" then, yes - you salary will have an Indian component as well. (So employee's "base location" turns out to be a critical factor)

Anyway, it differs from company to company and sometimes, from case to case. Better get a clarification from the HR.
