I am a software engineer passed out in 2004.
I am working in a quiet well software firm related to hospitality industry.
But i am codeing only in Webl(a scripting langauge on java platform ,devoloped by compaq). But to devolop my career i want to go into the depth of j2ee.I know a bit of java, servlet and jsp(not much though). But in my company there will be no such oppourtinity in j2ee.But unless i work on real time project i cannot shift, as in interviews now a days they give a lot of stress on real life experience. Can some senior members guide me how i can progress.
What should be my steps.Should i make my java, jsp, servlet skills Finner by lot of reading.Should I take certification.Or something related to doing a project.
Please, please advice.Any thing will be highly appreciated.

Well, I'm not a senior member but I'll comment anyways
I think since you're a recent graduate and trying to break into the J2EE market, a certification will definitely help (SCWCD).

Since you have realized that there are no J2EE opportunities in your own company, it makes sense to switch. Why don't you start looking for jobs around your area and see how the response is?

Lot of ranchers work at TCS/Infy/Wipro etc. Maybe they can offer you more pointers.
All the best.
