I am a software engineer passed out in 2004. I am working in a quiet well software firm related to hospitality industry. But i am codeing only in Webl(a scripting langauge on java platform ,devoloped by compaq).But to devolop my career i want to go into the depth of j2ee.I know a bit of java,servlet and jsp(not much though).But in my company there will be no such oppourtinity in j2ee.But unless i work on real time project i cannot shift, as in interviews now a days they give a lot of stress on real life experience.Can some senior members guide me how i can progress. What should be my steps.Should i make my java,jsp,servlet skills Finner by lot of reading.Should I take certification.Or something related to doing a project. Please, please advice.Any thing will be highly appreciated.
pls do consider my query too which is different and similar but on same track, I am fresher 2005 graduate, I am SCJP 96%, SCJA. can you all advice me what shall I learn till I get job. I have completed servlets from HFSJ, what else shall I learn..... i am thinking of one course in which they teach Struts, EJB, JBoss etc.
