hi, good day everyone ..i'm new in DAO , can someone kindly please guide what is DAO about? is DAO component built inside j2EE ? only can run in j2EE environment ? thank you

Data Access Object (DAO) is a design pattern nothing specific to J2EE.

I found "Java Transaction Processing" to be a bit more advanced. Once you have the JDBC/DAO basics and are interested in transactions, it is a good read.
