which connection pooling to use?

Anyone have recommendations on Oracle 10g's connection pooling over Tomcat 4's?

Basically, I want to know if I should just keep it simple by using the Apache Commons Datasource connection pooling with Tomcat 4 or if I might as well go ahead and use the OracleDataSourceFactory...

I'm a little frustrated because Sun spells out some standard parameters here:

However, the Tomcat site doesn't really have documentation on the OTHER parameters you can have for a DataSource here:

I'm talking about maxWait, maxIdle, etc, not password or description, etc.
