Replicate tables

Hello,
We were using db v7.1 before but now, we are upgrading to v7.2 , there were some tables in v7.1 that we want to bring into v8.0 wit the data in it. I tried making a batch file that would export stuff from 7.2 and impor t it to 8.0 but it's only bringing in some of the rows not all off them. Is their any tool in the db that i could use to replicate those tables in v7.2 to v 8.0. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mala

Mala,
Why don't you just use the db2 export/import utility?

Hey Jeanne,

THanks for replying. I was using the import/export utility but it's not exporting the data and giving me these errors:

While Importing into db2 v8:

While Exporting from db2 v7.0, it gives this warning:

Table formats match exactly. I'm really stuck here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mala,
Let's start with the export error. Long fields can't be represented in comma delimitted format. Instead try exporting in IXF format. While this isn't human readable, it imports well into a db2 instance. It is also more compact.

It sounds like you might be importing a corrupt file which would explain the other error.
