hi all,

i have to write a sql server query equivalent to the query given below. i am totally stuck at what to do... can someone help me out???, esp with that iif?

That's a very ugly query. But as far as I am aware, that is in a syntax SQL Server will understand. Someone may correct me, but IIF will only work on SQL Server.

Perhaps you can describe "Maintable" and what you are trying to select from it, then maybe someone can offer a suggestion of a better wayt of doing it.
