From DatabaseMetadata interface in java.sql package,is it possible to retrive the information about SQL jobs running on database server?table,stored procedures is possible but how to get SQL job info?

No, you can't get the SQL jobs from DatabaseMetaData. If your database allows you to query a system table to get the SQL job list, you could run that query through JDBC.
