What is the correct URL syntax?????

I am trying to connect to my Sybase db via a call within my jsp. Here is the url string that I have:
sybase:jdbc:Tds:servername ortnumber/dbname

in getConnection(url, "username", "password")

I keep getting an IOException and connection refused. I am unsure of how to identify the dbname after the port. I have seen it done about a hundred ways and none of them are working for me. Any clues? No one seems to answer any of my posts so I am keeping my fingers crosse on this.
Thanks

I reversed the order, it should be jdbc:sybase:Tds.... not the way I typed it in the original message so that was a typo here not in the actual code.
