why type 4 is called thin driver

a subject line "jdbc" is not very helpful. We like people to UseAMeaningfulSubjectLine

The Type 4 driver is called thin since it is an all-java solution and exists as a thin layer in the application used to communicate directly with the database rather than requiring heavier applications to be installed on the client first.
