i'm getting the following error while trying to connect to SQLServer2000 from java .
Connection is busy with the results of other hstmt.

I tried with both ODBC driver and Microsoft's jdbc driver for sqlserver.

Can any one help me resolve this issue

Ram,
Welcome to JavaRanch!

Double check you are closing the statement before starting a new one. Also, post the code as Ken suggested so we can give you more specific advice.

i have made some changes and it's working with TYPE4 driver
and not with Type1

Why this is not working with Type1.

does Type 1 not support multiple active resultsets?

No. But technically the type 4 should not either and you just lucked out there.
