The first part of your question reads like you are asking to write a driver and I'm not really sure what there is to say about that. Implement the java.sql interfaces?
But then the mysqlserver.jar reference throws me for a bit of a loop.

Okay. What is your DBMS? Why are you doing this? Are you sure there is not already a driver?
