Hi,

I have installed the 10g version on my machine & fired the scripts which were existing in the Oracle8i version.The driver which i have downloaded has the name ojdbc14.jar as i have jdk 1.4 version.Now Can u please tell me the Connection URL,DriverName for the same.I used:

Driver = oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
URL = jdbcracle:thin:@IP:port:dbName.

Now i fired the scripts but i dont know the database name so i ignored it in the URL..Please tell me how can i know the database name.I get all the results successfully for my queries on the tables.

But i am getting some exception like "The Network adapter ..." error which is thrown if i use the HTTP port 8080.Now if i use 1512(forgive if its wrong) port number that is the Database listener port it is also throwing some exception.

So can somebody please give me the code snippet for the same.

I have Tomcat 4.1 version,jdk 1.4.
Similarly i also need the code snippet for jdk1.3 in that case i think only the jar file will change that is classes12.jar and not the code right(correct me if am wrong)
