sun.jdbc is not available

I am trying to execute a SQL query using JDBC. The code is as follows:


I think the code is fine. I get the error saying package sun.jdbc is not available. Can anybody help me with this?

You'll get this if you are not using Sun's compiler, for example if you are using IBM's.

But, I use sun's compiler. Any more inputs?

Shouldn't that be in quotations? Also can we try printing the exceptions instead of ignoring them :shocked:

You will the classes12 or classes111.jar and you have to unzip this fie and place it in the java directory,This file is in the oracle's directory. After unzipping it you will find the package you are searching for
